Evia graduated from William Paterson University in New Jersey with a Bachelors in Health Studies and went on to earn her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University, where she completed two clinical internships in mental health counseling. After becoming a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, she began her career in private practice, focusing on anxiety, depression, body image issues, and food/eating concerns.
After relocating from New Jersey to Florida, Evia joined the team at Solution Counseling. She specializes in anxiety, life transitions, body image, disordered eating and general mental health. Her work emphasizes body neutrality, intuitive eating, and self-compassion, helping clients cultivate peace of mind and a more fulfilling relationship with themselves. Drawing from faith-based and evidence-based approaches, Evia supports adolescents and adults in their journey toward recovery, improved mental health and lasting wellness.
Evia is passionate about providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, gain clarity around the challenges they face, and grow in their understanding of themselves. Her approach centers on guiding clients toward greater peace, balance, and alignment in their lives. She wholeheartedly believes that quality of life can be transformed by becoming more intentional with the simple, everyday moments and understanding how our thoughts influence those moments. She sees therapy as a meaningful place to begin this journey of awareness, growth, and lasting change.
