Michaela was born and raised in Florida. In 2019, she graduated from the University of South Florida with her bachelor’s degree in social work and went on to receive her master’s in social work in 2020 with extensive training in individual, couples, and family counseling. Michaela has a background in medical social work, the child welfare system, and biblical services.
Michaela provides a compassionate and individualistic approach to help her clients live a life that they love. Michaela is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused and other evidence-based techniques. For client’s that are interested, Michaela does offer biblical/spiritual counseling.
Michaela specializes in working with children ages 3-17 experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, panic and life changes. She loves to include parents and/or caregivers in sessions in order to treat the whole family system and is an excellent communicator. Michaela is also experienced in working with young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms, health crisis, self esteem issues, stress, and social anxiety.
Michaela has evening and weekend hours available to clients that need flexible scheduling. She offers online counseling sessions and in-person sessions at the New Port Richey office.
