Kelly graduated from Wright State University located in Dayton, Ohio with her Bachelors in Sociology in 2006 and completed her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Webster University in 2011. She completed her internship conducting individual sessions and intensive outpatient groups as well as working in a local baker act facility.
Kelly started her career in the Tampa Bay area doing case management for children and families involved with Child Protection Services and the foster care system. Kelly has extensive experience with the child welfare agencies in surrounding Florida counties, school system and judicial system. During this tenure, Kelly was in a supervisory role for those providing direct services and also worked in adoptions. Kelly currently continues her adoption work completing adoption home studies and child studies for the State of Florida.
In 2011, Kelly began working in the outpatient mental health setting working with children, adolescents and adults with various mental health needs. In this setting, she has conducted individual, couples and family sessions using a solution focused and person centered approach.
Kelly is a compassionate and energetic therapist who uses a variety of techniques including Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy and solution focused to meet the needs of each client. Kelly particularly enjoys working with children, adolescents and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, family issues or major life changes.
